Choral directors Lamonte Kuskye and Ann Conrad will conduct their last concert in the Dale E. Graham Auditorium at 7 p.m. on May 20. Kuskye will go on to teach at Park Tudor next year while Conrad will be retiring.
“The students are already quite prepared for the concert, so I know the audience will be in for a treat,” Kuskye said via email, “However, the last concert is going to be difficult from an emotional point of view.”
Similarly, some choir students said they are feeling bittersweet about having their last concert with the current directors.
Palmer Tweedy, member of Allegro and sophomore, said he has mixed feelings.
“It’s going to be sad to see (the directors) leaving, but this will be a great sendoff for them, so I’m excited. I’m really upset that they are leaving because they’ve done a great job for the choir program,” he said.
