On Dec. 7, the women’s basketball team will play against Fishers at home. The team has just come off with an away win against Crown Point and according to Head Coach Scott Bowen, (the team) will play many good opponents this year.
Bowen said, “Fishers is in the same situation as we are. They have some kids that they lost through transfers, and they are trying to fill in those missing pieces with some new kids.”
Amy Malone, varsity guard and junior, said, “Since we had a full week to prepare, we went hard and got fit again this week. Later this week, we’re going to work on different offenses to go against Fishers.”
According to Bowen, the team is currently unranked, and the players will definitely improve and mature throughout the year. Upcoming games are against Kokomo on Dec. 11 and North Central on Dec. 14, both of which are home games.
