Spanish Club has changed the date of their next meeting to March 5 from the original date of Feb. 26. According to Marisa Arakawa, club president and senior, this meeting will be a field trip to Indiana Museum of Art. She said club members will be able to see art from various Spanish artists.
Kaitlin Olufs, club sponsor and Spanish teacher, said she looks forward to students seeing the art made by Spanish-speakers and the differences between countries.
“Students will be able to experience new things,” she said. “Spanish Club isn’t just about speaking Spanish, but experiencing the culture and the food and the other aspects.”
Arakawa said, “I think it’s (the trip) unique and it’s what Spanish Club is about—Spanish art and culture.”
