NHS members have planned their annual carnation sale for the first week of February.
The sale will take place Feb. 2 through Feb. 10 in all cafeterias. The flowers ordered will be delivered to SRT rooms on Feb. 13.
While many features of the carnation sale may be familiar to those who have participated in previous years, this year, NHS members have made a bigger effort to advertise this year, with unique video clips scheduled to appear in upcoming morning announcements.
“Lots of NHS members have given us awesome, creative videos that we’ve been loving,” NHS treasurer and senior Katelyn Davis said.
According to sponsor Michele Satchwell, this year, NHS members hope to put a bigger emphasis on giving flowers to others, rather than receiving them.
Single carnations are $1.50 each; a dozen costs $15. They are available in red, white, yellow and pink, each color representing a different meaning. NHS members will donate the money earned from selling carnations to a chosen charity.
