Aquatics center director Kinsey Wallace posts on the aquatics center’s Facebook page. Wallace said that she hopes that the Facebook page helps more people find out about the amenities of the aquatics center.
Aquatics center director Kinsey Wallace has recently started to branch out to more forms of social media in order to reach out to potential lap swimmers.
“We literally just got a (Facebook page),” Wallace said.
She hopes that this page will help the aquatics center get itself more known to people who may not already be aware of the benefits the it can provide.
“I’m excited because I feel, for Facebook, we can put pictures and get people to favorite or like our pictures, get our name out to people we can’t even see,” Wallace said.
The aquatics center already has a Twitter profile as well. However, according to Wallace, that plays a more informational role, like notifying current members when the pool will be closed due to a delay or snow day.
“I suggest everyone go follow the aquatics center on Twitter if you want to stay in the know,” Carmel swimmer and junior Troy Li said.
