Key Club will hold call-out meetings on Sept. 10 in the Freshman Cafeteria at 7:15 a.m. and at 3:30 p.m. Sponsor Katie Kelly said students can pick up code of conduct forms at the call-out meeting. The forms will be due at the next meetings on Sept. 24.
Kelly said the meeting will outline how and where students can get volunteer hours to maintain membership in the club. Returning club members can earn volunteer hours for community service they did over the summer. Students can get a maximum of 10 volunteer hours.
Nathan Fei, Key Club member and junior, said he wasn’t able to get any volunteer hours over the summer, but will start doing community service after the call-out meeting.
“I had a great time doing community service for Key Club in the past, so I’m looking forward to doing more fun volunteer projects with my friends this year,” he said.
According to Kelly, Key Club looks to improve its communication with its members this year.
“Last year, compared to previous years, we did a much better job about reaching out to members with a variety of volunteer events. This year, we will be updating our social media accounts and websites with new volunteer opportunities and hours forms,” Kelly said.
