The next Aperture Club meeting is scheduled for Nov. 9, according to Arjuna Capulong, Aperture Club president and junior.
“Last meeting, we uploaded photos online to Flickr,” Capulong said. “Next week, we’ll look at each others’ photos and critique and make suggestions for improving everyone’s photos.”
According to Capulong, this process of critiquing is beneficial for every photographer because this is the most efficient way to make improvements.
As the president of the Aperture Club, Capulong plays an important role. He organizes meetings, manages the public relations and communicates with the members of the club.
“I allow the students to make the decisions regarding the club,” Aperture Club sponsor Jim Streisel said.
“It’s amazing that Carmel never had a photography club, despite the number of photography classes it offers, until the Aperture Club,” Capulong said. “I’ve been in this club for two years, and I think it’s nice to be around people who express the same interests as me.” By Monica Cheng <[email protected]>
