According to club sponsor George Giltner, this championship is the final event during the TechHOUNDS’ regular season.
Giltner said the main difference between this competition and previous Regional competitions is the amount of time the team is allowed to practice at the competition itself. According to Giltner, matches will begin at noon on the first day of the championship, so the team will only have a few hours to prepare its robot for competition.
Senior Ryan Wilmes, who has served as the team’s student lead for two years, said he has learned many lessons about leadership from his experience last year.
