The CHS men’s tennis team continued their state dominance by defeating number four Cathedral 5-0. The top-ranked Greyhounds are 17-0 after their regional victory.
Mike Bostic, the men’s tennis head coach said via e-mail, “This year’s team has tremendous senior leadership, depth, confidence, and experience. We needed to go through some tough times to grow and show us how hard we would need to work to accomplish our goals.”
Junior and player Mihir Kumar said about the team’s dominance, “We’ve worked very hard this year, you know, our team’s real deep, you know, everybody has put the team first. It’s just really come together. We have really been running away from the competition.”
The team plays Semistate on Oct. 9, and the state finals are the following week on Oct. 15 and 16. By Matt Barnthouse <[email protected]>

There are boys on the “Men’s” tennis team, probably some 14 years old. The IHSAA trophy that they’ll win is marked “Boy’s” also. Why rush things?

Thanks for the input, Tim. For consistency with journalism style, we have always referred to all sports at CHS as “men’s” and “women’s.”
