As more clubs are created, Young Life continues to grow. The dancing and high energy at Campaigners and the serene feeling at Club draw more and more students to Young Life’s front door. Area director Jake VanAsten said he is happily surprised by Young Life’s attendance.
“It’s amazing,” VanAsten said. “I just cannot believe how many kids continue to show up at the meetings. I think it’s just fantastic to see so many people together as one.”
Club takes place at junior Samantha Miller’s house, 525 Bolderwood Lane, every Tuesday at 7:32 p.m. Campaigners is scheduled to continue to take place every Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Browns’ house, 13879 Coldwater Drive.
Junior Conner Witsken is one of many regular attendees of Young Life. He said one of the reasons why he continues to attend the meetings is because he is directly involved with Young Life.
“I help the advertising,” Witsken said. “I go on Facebook and just talk to more and more people and tell them to come. Even if they don’t want to, I tell them that it’s definitely worth it.” By Eric Dick <[email protected]>
