Latin Club will have its first callout meeting of the year on Sept. 7 after school.
Caren Rickett, club sponsor and Latin teacher, said, “Latin Club is getting together outside of the classroom, hanging out, and watching a video related to Latin, or having a speaker talk about something related to Latin; just kind of chilling and talking.”
Emily Kowalik, co-president of Latin Club and sophomore, said, “I am most excited about the state convention in March (where) Latin clubs from schools in Indiana come together and hold contests in Latin tests, costumes, speech and art.”
According to Rickett, the change of Latin teachers at CHS has been a problem for the club.
“The change of teachers has been hard for the Latin Club because it’s hard for me to do everything. I really like having another teacher around so I can share responsibility.”
