Baseball team prepares for games against Lawrence North, Noblesville

The men’s baseball team will host Lawrence North at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 13 and then travel to Noblesville on Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Varsity player and senior Clay Morrisson said he is very excited for the Lawrence North game. “I’m excited to have a chance to get another MIC win,” he said.
According to Head Coach Jay Lehr, Lawrence North swept Carmel last year, so this year Carmel will be looking for revenge.
“We are looking to go after them from the first pitch to the last pitch,” Lehr said via email. “We have to not only get up early but we need to finish each and every inning.”
Morrisson said this year’s team gets along much better than previous teams, and they hope that will help them throughout the season.
“We all get along really well and have been playing together for awhile now, so we have good team chemistry,” Morrisson said.
Lehr said the team is not where they had hoped to be at this point in the season, but they are still working to improve.
“Obviously we would like to be in a better position with the wins and losses. But it’s not how you start it is how you finish,” he said. “We have used these first seven games as our “Spring Training games,” it is now time to get things done.”
