According to Jim Inskeep, Athletics Director and club sponsor, the Senior Roundtable will be taking a short hiatus, with the last meeting of the spring sports curriculum occurring today during SRT. Fall athletics members of the Senior Roundtable are scheduled to have their first meeting sometime in March.

Inskeep said that there will be will hardly be any difference in the Senior Roundtable curriculum between the spring and fall sports groups.

“The only difference may be that there is cultural change in the spring with our athletics team versus the fall and winter,” Inskeep said. “The end of the school year does a lot to the mental state of our student athletes, especially seniors.”

According to Inskeep, going through the program prior to their athletic season is helpful to the students who are already taking on leadership roles in their respective sports programs, so the fall curriculum for the Senior Roundtable will not include much to accommodate for the summer gap between the program and the atheletes’ season.

Roma Sarapin, previous Senior Roundtable member and swimmer, said the program changed the way he views his leadership role in sports.

“It opened my eyes to the responsibility that I have to accept, and it also helped me get ideas for dealing with certain situations on the team,” Sarapin said.
