The Astronomy Club will not host a planetarium show for the month of February, according to club sponsor Keith Turner. Instead, the show will be on March 23. Club members have not yet decided the next meeting date.
“We have been busier than we thought this year, and at the last minute, we decided the script was not interesting, so we had to start from the beginning,” president and sophomore Yanying Chen said via email. According to Chen, the planetarium show for March will still cover the same topic as the February show would have: exoplanets, or planets outside the solar system.
According to Turner, there will also be an all-day event at the school on April 14 from about 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. where speakers from surrounding states who are part of the Great Lakes Planetarium Association will give presentations and lectures.
