Fantasy Sports Club members are now participating in fantasy baseball.
On March 8 club members conducted their meeting that signaled the beginning of the fantasy baseball season. Co-presidents and seniors Clay Morrisson and Karl Schneider led the meeting.
“We had a really good turn out for the second semester call out meeting and an even better one for the draft,” Morrisson said.
According to club sponsor Mike Meyer, about 20 people showed up for the meeting, which is more than usual.
Unlike the draft for fantasy football, all of the players were divided up into teams beforehand, which takes less time. The first fantasy game is at the beginning of the Major League Baseball season.
Along with the draft, the club members also voted on new presidents for next year. Juniors Jason Roebuck and Josh Roop were chosen to lead the club for the 2012-2013 school year.
“We are glad there are new presidents because it shows that we got some people interested, but [we are] also sad that we can’t do it anymore,” Morrisson said.
