According to speaker of the House Meredith Baranowski, capture the flag with a “color run” concept is scheduled to take place April 27 and will be the second-to-last House event.
“Basically (the April 27 event) is a combination of capture the flag, dodge ball and a color run. Students will try to get the flag from the opposing team’s side but instead of getting put in jail by someone from the opposite team tagging you, you’ll get out by being hit with a ball covering in paint,” Wolff said.
All students are encouraged to wear white so the colors will show up better on their shirts. Registration forms are available in the Activities Office and are due with a $5 fee by April 26.
The voting to elect next year’s speaker of the House will close on April 24; however, junior Leo Biette is running uncontested for the position.
“In my 13 years here there has never been a student that has run uncontested for this position,” Wolff said. “Leo is just a strong candidate, he’s well-known and people, rather than campaign against him, know he’ll do a good job so they’re getting behind him.”
