Astronomy Club members are currently planning a club field trip to Chicago to visit the Adler planetarium and other museums in the spring, according to sponsor Keith Turner. Turner said he has not planned this field trip in the last 10 years due to the expense of the trip. Turner said he is currently trying to find out how much everything will cost.
President and senior Yanying Chen said she is working with Turner to plan the field trip.
“We are still in early stage of planning,” Chen said. “I think it’ll be an experience that is fun to visit different museums in Chicago with my friends in the club.”
Turner said, “The enrichment from museums is good for your life, and students will receive VIP treatment at Adler planetarium since I know people that work there. The museums are staggering to see.”
