The Carmel Education Foundation (CEF) will be hosting its 28th Annual CEF Showcase on Feb. 27. The event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the CHS auditorium. Nine elementary and two middle school choirs and ensembles will be performing.
“The showcase is an opportunity for the elementary and middle schools to perform in another venue other than their own school,” said Stephanie McDonald, co-executive director of the CEF. “There is an opportunity for them to showcase their skills for a broad audience. Performing at the high school gives the students a thrill to perform on the big stage in the big auditorium.”
The event, according to McDonald, is open to the public and free of charge. Donations are accepted and will be divided between the CEF and the participating schools.
The CEF also urges graduating seniors to remember to fill out the online applications for any scholarships for which they are eligible. The deadline for the applications is on March 14.
