The Astronomy Club will hold the Cosmic Colors show at the CHS planetarium on March 28 at 7 p.m. and a second show at 8 p.m., according to sponsor Keith Turner. Turner said the show will educate the audience on how color works and about looking at the color spectrum when looking at stars and galaxies. The Astronomy Club officers, Turner said, are going to help with tickets and continue their bake sale in order to fundraise for the Chicago Astronomy Club trip.
Yanying Chen, Astronomy Club president and senior, said she is excited for this particular show since it is a brand new show.
“It’s a new show, so I think everyone will be excited about this. I haven’t seen it personally, so it will be exciting for me too,” Chen said. “Also, hopefully, everyone will support our bake sale.”
Turner said since the previous astronomy show sold out so quickly, the Cosmic Colors show would feature two show times.
Turner said, “We’re going to have three screens of HD video to dazzle your imagination; it’ll be a really immersive environment.”
