The Carmel Education Foundation (CEF) is working on selecting seniors for their 77 memorial scholarships, for which 277 seniors applied. The scholarships will be awarded at the CHS Scholarship Night on May 22. Over the course of this school year, the CEF has been raising money for the teacher grants they give out each year. Most recently, they raised over $36000 at their telethon in March.
“We are so thankful for the financial support of the parents and the community,” said Barbara Danquist, co-executive director of the CEF. “With their donations, CEF will be giving teacher grants two different times this year. This is our mission to give grants to our CCS teachers.”
The first group of teacher grants will be given April 15 and the second group will be given in September.
