John Kopnisky resigns as head wrestling coach

John Kopnisky resigned as head coach of the CHS wrestling team on April 24. In a letter sent to the wrestling program, Kopnisky wrote that his decision is “based on life taking me in another direction. The Kopnisky family has some exciting news with the addition to our family, and the arrival of either a future wrestler or ballerina in October.”

Despite resigning as head coach of the school team, Kopnisky said he plans to still work for the Carmel USA Wrestling Club.

According to Athletics Director Jim Inskeep, CHS will be looking to fill the position by the end of the school year and will be accepting resumes and letters of interest immediately.
