According to Art department head Jen Bubp, art teachers are using Pinterest for new art project ideas.
“Projects are changing because as teachers are being inspired, they’re trying new things in the classroom. Something that’s made a huge impact in art around the whole world is Pinterest. Pinterest is a social media network of ideas and we teachers find inspiration through other art teachers around the world and try these new projects in class,” Bubp said.
In Introduction to 2-D Art, Bubp said students will begin a paper quilling project that is inspired by Pinterest. Gregory Dexter, Introduction to 2-D Art student and junior, said that he’s looking forward to the paper quilling project and hopes his art may be showcased at the spring art show.
