Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) plans to meet on Oct. 21 in Room B206 to discuss current issues about LGBT rights, according to club sponsor Jeremey Horner.

“I think it’s really interesting how people from different backgrounds have completely different thoughts on a subject. And that is why the discussion part of this club is what makes it special.”

Maya Nicole, sophomore and club member, said she agrees with Horner and says she enjoys the openness of this club.

“I was always taught to be accepting of everyone and so (when I joined this club) I wanted to let people know that I’m an ally and they should feel free to be who they are,” Nicole said. “The best of the club is getting to meet new people and learn new things about the LGBTQ community.”
