The French Club will end the first half of the school year by hosting a holiday party celebrating the French holiday known as Noël.
The club will celebrate the holiday season by having a food and movie party. Members plan to prepare and bring food for the special occasion, with some French cuisines and deserts such as beignets, crêpes and chocolate fondue. The movie during the party will be “La Vie en Rose”, which depicts the French cabaret singer Edith Piaf.
The club will also be creating Noël holiday cards during their winter celebration.
The food and movie party will be held in substitution to the monthly French Club meeting. The party will take place Dec. 2 at 3:15 in the Community Room.
Andrea Yocum, sponsor of French Club, explains why members decided to celebrate the coming of winter and the holiday season rather than holding the regular monthly meeting.
