With their last performance at the Homecoming Pep Rally, the Charisma dance team has officially concluded their 2019 season.
“It was so much fun,” dance team member and senior Avery Iverson said. “Performing our dances was the best.”
Iverson finished her second and final dance season with Charisma at the Pep Rally.
“Now that the season is over, the majority of the team has been going to clinics after school where we work on technique skills for the upcoming Coquette season,” Iverson said. “I am unfortunately not trying out for Coquettes this year but I really enjoyed my last season on Charisma this year.”
Charisma coach, Sarah Wolff, also coaches the Coquettes dance team.
“My favorite part is the relationships I develop with each of the girls,” Wolff said.
According to Wolff, each potential team member needs to be familiar with dance in order to be a part of the team.
“We do hip-hop, jazz, and some technique which involves leaps, kicks, and turns. So, all of our routines encompass those styles of dance,” Wolff said.
Dance team member and senior Maddy Massa also concluded her final dance season as a Charisma team member.
“I loved dancing for everyone and showing the crowd what we learned,” Massa said.
Any dancers can try out for the Coquettes team today, Oct. 14th, until 5 p.m. after school. By Hannah Gretz
