As many know the men’s varsity basketball team plays Pike on Wednesday, January 20th. What is not as well known is that the Carmel High School freshman pep band will also be performing there.
Band director Christopher Kreke said, “The Carmel performing arts program believes that pep band is a great way to do a spirit service for the school. Also we enjoy it because it gives our kids a chance to have some fun.”
Freshman band student Mitch Greene said, “I enjoy pep band because we get to go watch the basketball games and we get to play in front of an audience.”
The freshman pep band is one of only four pep bands to play at the home basketball games. All of the wind symphonies divide the basketball games between them. By Grayson Harbour <[email protected]>
