The Junior Class officers, according to Junior Class sponsor Maureen Borto, formed a prom committee so they could begin planning for prom, which will occur May 1. Every year, the Junior Class has the responsibility of planning prom as well as the prom after-party, which can be attended by juniors, seniors and any underclassman dates. This year’s prom theme will be “Moonlight Masquerade,” according to Junior Class president Jeremy Weprich.

Weprich said, “We are currently in communication with our venue designer to plan the decorations for our ballroom at The Fountains. Our team has already chosen the background for the professional photographer. All that’s left is designing the tickets and advertising the event as much as possible.”

While he could not comment on the exact budget for this year’s prom, Weprich said the Junior Class has raised a significant amount of money for this purpose through various fundraisers, including the magazine sales that current juniors did during their freshman year.
