Seniors look to college with school year ending

As seniors have started to decide on their future plans, many still understand that there is one grading period left in the school year. According to chemistry teacher Elizabeth Shafer, a recent graduate of Butler University, it is very important that seniors behave and still work to the best of their ability in their time left at CHS.

“Seniors have a tendency to shut down toward the end of the school year,” she said. “As they see their high school education coming to a close, it is important that students realize that, as this door is closing, they are opening the door to the future.”

Matt Flaherty, GKOM and senior, says he understands the importance the last grading period.

Flaherty, who is attending Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, said, “I have some motivation to keep my grades at a decent level so I can continue my streak of academic excellence here at CHS. Academics have always been an important part of my life, and as I look to further my academic experience in college, I need to stay sharp.” By Ryan Zukerman <[email protected]>
