The annual Night of Rights event, hosted by Amnesty International club, is scheduled for May 8 from 7 to 10 p.m. The three hour event on Saturday night will be held at the stadium on the visitor’s side by the tennis courts, according to president and senior Rosemary Boeglin.
The purpose of the night is to spread awareness for the club’s topics this year with guest speakers and music.
According to Jennifer Davis, sponsor and art department chairperson, the club has also joined efforts with Invisible Children club to host the Night of Rights event.
Both clubs will host a variety of student bands and guest speakers. Such bands include 2 Man Bandits, Raptor Chapter, The Gnashers, Midnight Vacancy and The Real Talks. Food and drinks will be sold to raise money for the club’s activities. Also Chipotle burritos will be sold for $5 each.
