Women’s track team to compete in Regional tournament on May 25

Moving forward in the State tournament, the women’s track team hopes to continue its dominance from the regular season. After a win at Sectional, the team aims to continue its success. The Regional tournament will take place at West Lafayette on May 25 at 6 p.m.

“We did really well (at Sectional), so that just gives us more confidence going into the next part,” runner and junior Alex Chitwood said.

Continuing to rely on its depth and talent in its distance program, the team has high hopes for the tournament. Head Coach Tim Mylin cites the team’s strong senior leadership as another key to its success.

The team looks to win the Regional meet and continue on to the next round.

Chitwood said, “We just need to keep on working hard.” By Maggie Brandenburg <[email protected]>
