The first CHS Blood Drive this school year will occur on Friday Sept. 17 in the fieldhouse from 8 to 12 p.m. This year, however, there is a greater need for donors than usual.
“There is really a huge need for blood. In fact the blood banks are completely depleted of a couple blood types right now,” Senate supervisor Michelle Foutz said.
Junior senator Terrance Lewis said he also recognizes the necessity of a greater number of donors for this event. “We are the biggest blood drive in our community,” he said. “But we still need to get bigger for this year.”
Students must be signed up in advanced to donate at the event, but still have the opportunity if they haven’t yet. “If they haven’t signed up yet and still want to they can come see me in E220 or the Senate room in E218,” Foutz said. By Shayan Ahmad <[email protected]>
