LifeLines will meet after school on Jan. 21 in Room A201.

According to sponsor Rebekah Overbey, the next big event is Black History Month. The members still need to discuss and plan activities for the event.
“We’re going to be talking about Black History Month and what we’re going to be doing in February,” Overbey said. “(We just want to) let people know that regardless of our backgrounds, that we can work together to achieve great things.”
Member and senior Eileen Chou said she agrees that Black History Month is important.
“Black History Month is made so that students can further understand the impact that African Americans have influenced on society,” she said. “This is important for students to be aware about because as fellow Americans we need to know the history of how we came to be who we are.”
