Junior Class officers prepare for prom, meet to select theme

The Junior Class, according to Junior Class sponsor George Giltner, will soon begin preparing for prom. Meetings to plan for prom and decide on this year’s theme will also commence soon. This year’s prom is scheduled to take place on April 30.

It is the Junior Class’s responsibility every year to prepare for prom and the prom after-party. Junior Class officers are in charge of  the preparation in the months leading up to prom, and they also must decide on the theme for prom.

“We haven’t decided on a theme yet, but we will have a meeting soon to decide on that,” said Junior Class president Avinash Mishra. “At the meeting all the class officers will give ideas, and then we will decide on the theme. Our main focus this year is on prom, so we hope to do well with it.”

Money that will be used for prom comes from a fundraiser and magazine sale that the seniors participated in during their freshman year.

“Prom is really the most important event for us now,” said Giltner. “If anyone would like to get involved in helping for the preparation of prom, I suggest that they listen to announcements and get involved.” By Eric He <[email protected]>
