On October 18 the German Club is scheduled to have an executive board meeting during SRT. According Theresa Lipp, German Club president and senior, at this meeting the board will firm up plans for the October event. This event is scheduled for October 27 after school in German Club sponsor, Laura King’s room.
According to Lipp this event is referred to a Kassetrinaen. “It basically means ‘to drink coffee.’ (German people) do it especially in the fall and winter. They have coffee, tea, or coco and play card and board games,” she said.
During this event participants will have the opportunity to do just that. It will give them the chance to learn about German culture as well as have German treats.
According to Lipp, in addition to discussing the upcoming Kassetrinaen, the executive board will also begin planning the November event and talking about T-shirt and locker designs. By Meredith Boyd <[email protected]>
