According to club sponsor Jeremy Horner, Gay-Straight Alliance is scheduled to have its next meeting after-school on Oct. 28, following its regular schedule of meeting every Thursday.

During this meeting, the club members will continue to watch the video clips they did not finish from last meeting, Horner said. No major upcoming events have been scheduled, and the club officers are in the midst of swapping discussion topics around for future meetings.

“(The officers) are more of in a brainstorming stage,” Horner said. “Because of fall break, everyone’s sort of in a break mode, so we’re still waiting on upcoming events. They are thinking about locker signs and maybe t-shirts, but that will probably come later.”

Gay-Straight Alliance is mainly a forum group where members can discuss about recent news and social issues, according to club president Gracie “Grace” Woerner.

“Gay-Straight Alliance promotes and markets a safe environment for people who have different sexual orientations. People should join because it’s for a really good cause,” Woerner said. By Tony Tan <[email protected]>
