The 14 DECA members whom were chosen to attend the International Career Development Conference, held in Orlando, returned on May 4.
According to DECA sponsor Janice Brown, the CHS DECA team managed to have one of its groups place second at the competition, a feat rarely accomplished over the past few years.
In addition to the actual competition itself, separate conferences designed especially for leadership development and senior management were also held in the same location.
Brad Kremer, international conference attendee and junior, said the conference was an unbelievable experience.
“It was one of the best experiences of my life,” Kremer said. “The conference itself was amazing, and then afterwards our whole group just hung out around the city.”
For DECA, the international conference was the last event of the year. During the beginning of next year, the organization will host officer elections.
“The officers elected next school year will then help plan and coordinate the activities for the year,” Brown said. By Chris Li <[email protected]>
