Fantasy Sports Club members are in week six of the fantasy football season. Both Karl Schneider and Clay Morrison, co-presidents and seniors, are playing in the league, but club sponsor Mike Meyer, is not, according to Meyer.
“Even though I’m not playing right now, it is just such a great experience to have if you love the game,” said Meyer.
Each week, players in the league change their roster to whichever players and defense they want on their own teams. Each team consists of a quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, one kicker, and a defense. In the real football games, when team members makes plays, they score a set amount of points on a fantasy team. Every week, participants play another team in the league, and whoever gets the most points wins.
“It’s probably the most fun you can have,” said Meyer.
Fantasy Sports Club leaders have not scheduled their next meeting, but for the rest of football season they will be playing fantasy football, Meyer said. Later in the year, he said, they play fantasy baseball and do an all school competition during the NCAA tournament.
