The National Honor Society (NHS) is preparing for their annual carnation sale that will take place Feb. 4 to 8.
“This is our only profit-making fundraiser, so we are hoping to sell lots of carnations so we can make significant contributions to a number of charitable organizations with the proceed,” said Michele Satchwell, head sponsor of NHS.
NHS members are equally optimistic for the carnation sale, according to Lauren Boughner, NHS member and senior.
“Hopefully this year we will sell more carnations than last year to give to charities,” Boughner said.
Additionally, all current members of NHS who did not meet their first semester obligations of attendance at meetings or volunteer hours will be receiving official letters revoking their memberships in NHS by the end of January.
