Abby Frank, Freshman Class vice president, along with her fellow class officers, will be promoting class rings the week of March 3. “It is a good way to remember high school,” Frank said. Class rings start at $280 and are available for purchase at parent night on March 4 and 6.

Additionally, Frank acknowledged that when they do announce their spring event, that all students should attend. “It is fun, and we would not make boring events,” Frank said.

Amy Skeens-Benton, Freshman Center Assistant Principal, said that traditionally the Freshman Class officers have held spring events, so it is likely they will again this year. “In past years they have worked with (the house of representatives) on their spring event,” Skeens-Benton said.

For the spring event, students traditionally compete as teams to win prizes. She said in past years events included a race, a “3×3” basketball game and a quidditch match.

When this year’s spring event is announced, Skeens-Benton advised freshmen to attend. She said, “They are a great way to meet new people in a safe environment.”
