ComedySportz members are fine-tuning their skills as the team looks forward to its last home matches on April 24 and 25. According to sponsor Jim Peterson, the team has advanced from the initial stages of the season.
“It’s been going really well,” Peterson said. “We’re in a really good spot now, and I don’t know if we’re going to do this competition thing that we do at the end of the year, but I think that we’d stand a really good chance.”
Michael Davis, first-year ComedySportz member and sophomore, said he has noticed the development in his improvisation abilities as the season has progressed.
“I’ve really learned how to just keep going with stuff,” Davis said. “I’d always try to make it go in that one direction, and now I’m just used to kind of letting things spiral out of control and into silliness.”
In the final few matches, the focus will be the same, but there will be minor changes in the action, according to Davis.
“We’re just going to play different games that we haven’t played before,” Davis said.
According to Peterson, the team is ready for the challenge.
“I think they’re doing things right,” Peterson said.
