According to Sameer Manchanda, Chess Club president and senior, Chess Club will not be ordering club T-shirts this year.
Manchanda said the club members decided not to order club T-shirts this year because “it turns out that no one really wants to do T-shirts this year so we’re going to not do them, but maybe next year.”
Club sponsor Margaret Winans said it will be on next year’s club officers to determine whether or not the club will have T-shirts next year.
Manchanda also said the club will be determining next year’s club officers as well.
“Traditionally we’ve had somewhat of a dictatorship,” Manchanda said. However, because the majority of the club officers are graduating this year, Manchanda said future leadership procedures and positions will be voted on by the current club members. Additional information for future club officer positions can be found on the club Facebook page.
