Greyhounds Look to Defeat Rival Westfield in Sectionals Game

On Wednesday, February 29 the Greyhounds (16-4) will take on the Shamrocks at 6 p.m. in Noblesville.  Carmel has previously defeated Westfield on January 6th 54-40.

The Greyhounds are averaging 56.1 points per game while only allowing 43.7 points per game. Carmel’s leading scorer is Ben Gardner who averages 13.6 points per game and the team’s assists leader is Michael Volovic who averages 4.1 assists per game. The Greyhounds Head Coach Scott Heady says that he thinks that his team is ready for the challenge. “We have had great practices this week and believe we are playing at our best at the right time,” said Heady via email.

There are a few players that the Greyhounds will be paying particularly close attention too. “Lawton, Burtron, and Fisher are three good offensive players that we must defend,” said Heady. As for who will step up for the Greyhounds, Heady said that he expects all of his players to compete and play at a high level.
