On March 11, Athletics Director Jim Inskeep sent out information involving the boys basketball team and Semistate this Saturday. According to Inskeep, this is the first Semistate appearance for Carmel since 1993. Here is more information regarding the game:

• It will take place on March 17, 2012 at Huntington North High School, where the Greyhounds will take on Elkhart Memorial.
• Huntington North High School is located at 450 MacGahan Street in Huntington, IN. Inskeep recommends planning for 1 hour and 45 minutes to two hours of driving time from Carmel.
• Tip-off is approximately 6 p.m.
• It will be the second of two semistate contests that day. The other is the Class 3A Semistate between Mishawaka Marian and Norwell, which tips off at 4 p.m.
• Tickets are $7 and available in the CHS Activities Office. Ticket sales start Tuesday, March 13, at 7:30 a.m., and end at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Purchases can only be made between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. with Friday being the only exception. Checks can be made payable to CHS.
• Inskeep said via e-mail that a capacity crowd is expected, so fans are encouraged to get their tickets early.
