Sitting at his desk, James Ziegler, Do Something Club sponsor, turns on his computer to bring up the Do Something Club schedule. In its last meeting, the club planned a multitude of events, including playing bingo with the residents of a local nursing home.

According to James Ziegler, sponsor of Do Something Club, the club plans to go to a local nursing home to play bingo with its residents. Although the date is not set yet, Ziegler says it will be “soon.”

In their last meeting, Do Something Club wrote cards for veterans through a partnership with Indy Honor Flight.

“Indy Honor Flight is an organization that flies veterans to Washington D.C.,” Ziegler said. “We made cards for the veterans so that they have them to read when they return home.”

In addition, the club plans to host a “playdate” at the Dayspring Center, a homeless shelter in Indianapolis.

“I am very excited for these upcoming events,” Luisa Perez, vice president of Do Something Club and senior, said. “I hope they will sharpen my leadership skills.”
