After finishing a benefit concert in February for VH1 Save the Music Foundation, Share the Music Club has not planned another meeting, club president and senior Gene Qian said.
“Our last event was a benefit concert,” club sponsor Margaret Hite said. “The proceeds (will be) going to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.”
The music foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental education into America’s public schools. Since 1997, they have provided $43 million to 1,600 schools. The Share the Music Club is adding to that with the proceeds from the February concert.
The club has nothing new posted for the end of the year, but is in the process of planning more events and meetings. According to Qian, students should listen to the announcements and come to meetings every Monday in Room P100.
