The first planetarium show will take place on Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the CHS Planetarium. Tickets are available in advance starting from Aug. 31 in the bookstore from 8 to 3 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens. The doors will be open 30 minutes before the show time.
According to planetarium director Keith Turner, the show is called “Solar System Adventure Tour.” The show is recommended for ages 4 and up.
“I developed the show and it’s geared towards younger children, but anybody can come,” he said.
Meera Chander, Astronomy Club president and senior, said she is involved in helping set up the production along with junior Zach Conrad. Astronomy Club members assist with the production of planetarium shows. She also said seats are limited to 60 tickets per showing.
She said, “We help Mr. Turner in setting up and assisting the productions.” By Sally Bae <[email protected]>
