After their call-out meeting, Alyssa Mastin, the club’s new sponsor, displays the agenda at the front of her room. The club hoped to gain many new underclassmen members this year.
Club Med plans to have its call-out meeting this Monday in room B215. The club recently got a new sponsor, Alyssa Mastin, and looks for officers from all grades.
Mastin said her goal for the year was to cultivate an interest in students for the medical field.
She says, “I hope they are excited if they want to pursue a career in medicine. Here they will get the opportunity to be exposed to a bunch of different things and have fun while doing them.”
Club Med hopes that this year they will retain more of their members for later in the year. Co-president and senior Catherine “Kate” Adaniya said the club plans to have new speakers, different dissections, and a field trip to engage their members.
Adaniya said, “We had a lot of people turn out, which is really exciting to see that there is a lot of interest. Hopefully they continue to come.”
