After handley beating Lawrence North 60-20, the CHS women’s JV basketball team continues their seven game winning streak with coach and english teacher Mark Wien.
“It’s been a great start to season so far,” Wein said. “I’ve been blessed with really good basketball players and really good kids.”
“The season has been going really well for the JV team,” Elizabeth Hildebrand, JV member and sophomore said. “I think we come out on teams and get our presence out there really well.”
Hildebrand and Wein both think the team is good in both offense and defence.
“Our team does everything really well and we come out to win every game,” Hildebrand said.
“We have a really strong defensive and have been scoring lots of points this season,” Wein said.
Wein said he believes the team has the possibility to be the best JV team in the state.
“We’ve seen some good teams play and we do well against them” Wein said. “I think we can beat everyone, but it’s all about the next game.”
