The Build Season for TechHounds is underway, but once everything is all done and the build season is concluded, an open house will be held to showcase all the projects they’ve been working on including the robot.
Members of the TechHounds split into their respective groups each meet and work on building the robot, the field for practice, the controls or animation.
Co-leader of the auxiliary build group, senior Landon Yan said, “This work keeps me busy; it gives me something to look forward to each day. Right now we are working on a Trident, which is used to put the balls back into play for the robot.”
Senior Meera Chander, co-leader of TechHounds, also put in her comments on the enormous amounts of work that have to be put in.
She said, “Students have three hours to work during each meet, but they usually need more, it’s pretty hectic right now.”
Future events for the TechHounds include the Kansas Regional competition to look forward to on March 4 to 6 and then onward to the Purdue Regional two weeks after. By Ben Lu <[email protected]>
