In November of 2011, the CHS marching band is participating in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The marching band was chosen to be one of ten bands to perform, out of hundreds of marching bands that applied across the country. The Macys Thanksgiving Day parade boasts that five million people watch it live and fifty million people watch the parade on their televisions at home.

Band director, Richard Saucedo said, “We view this wonderful opportunity as reward for all of the hard work that the students have put in over the years. We are very excited and cannot wait.”

Freshman Mitch Greene, who will be a junior when the event come near said, “I’m so excited for Macys. It’s a once in a lifetime experience. It’s going to be so fun. By Grayson Harbour <[email protected]>
